LinkedIn content is the slowest channel to drive sales.
But the most important one in B2B.
Important because it lowers the cost of every other channel.
There are two things only content builds: recognition of the person in the market, and trust with the recipient, before the first conversation ever happens.
You see it in four places.
1- In ads.
CTR goes up when the buyer recognizes the person or the brand before the click. Same ad, same budget, different performance.
2- In outreach.
Reply rate goes up when the recipient looks into the sender and finds an active profile with real substance instead of an empty one. The first barrier in cold outreach is skepticism about who's writing. The content they find lowers it before they decide whether to reply.
3- In the sales conversation.
By the time the buyer reaches the first meeting after months of reading the seller, they already know who they are, what they think and how they operate. The cycle shortens because the education happened before the meeting.
4- In open deals.
Almost no buyer decides on the first touch. Deals stay open for weeks or months, and content keeps you present in the feed the whole time.
That's why it's the most important one: it lowers the cost of every other channel.
The sales it closes directly are the small part of its ROI. The big part is what it saves on paid ads, outreach and the sales cycle.
